Kaboom

I wrote 'Slippery Snake' in one sitting yesterday. It tells a sordid first-person tale of a young man whose parents' ignorance towards his recreational pastimes inevitably leads him on a trail of stealth-orientated killing for fun. I also managed to take a swipe at hysterical right-wing reactionary organ The Daily Mail, which means the song rocks by default.

On the bus this morning, meanwhile, I figured out in my head how 'Butter Her Brown' should sound musically. It should be a taught, slow-paced blues sleazefest with horn stabs, lots of ride cymbal, an electric piano and saucepan percussion. I also think that M.It, our engineer and peripheral guitar maestro, could throw an awesome six-string wankfest in there while we howl and play harmonica. Ooh, I can't wait.

I'll be revealing the new look of the blog tomorrow night, so anyone who's interested should check it out over the weekend like the slavering rabid dogs you are.
