Welcome to the official weblog of everyone's soon-to-be-favourite Sexual Ninjas, Fucking By The Roadside.

FBTR are a three-piece outfit - a PR expert, a nurse, and a graphic designer - who thought it would be a jolly wheeze to dress up in masks, write songs about deviant sex, bodily fluids and physical violence, then record them. The fact that none of them are particularly expert at songwriting, musicianship, engineering or producing appears to have been overlooked in making this decision.

Despite their many and varied handicaps, the band have vowed to write and record an album's worth of songs, including original material, cover versions and remixes, and distribute it for free via the miracle of the Internet. They freely admit to having absoultely no idea of what they intend to write or play, nor can they decide on a genre into which they can place their particular brand of music. Undeterred, they have begun their own alcohol-and-weed-fuelled creative process, incorporating influences from rock, metal, thrash, industrial, blues, soul, pop, electronica, dancehall and ethnic, to breed a style described in a roundabout way as 'ninja metal' or 'industrial ninja erotic blues'. Think Donkey Kong getting fucked in the ass by Trent Reznor while watching a Brian Wilson-hosted TV show in which Deftones kick the fuck out of The Monkees for stealing all their 'green', with Marilyn Manson as referee. Now you're getting it.

This site has been created to document the band's progress as they work on their debut album, Suck My Balls Til They Bleed, due for release this autumn. This deadline is, by the band's own admission, somewhat optimistic, but hey - everyone knows that real genius is borne from extreme pressure, and with their inherent laziness, crippling dependency on alcohol, and complete lack of musical talent, FBTR certainly have their work cut out for them.

As you have probably noticed, this blog is under heavy construction. Hey, we're busy trying to record an album here. But fear not, for as new sounds and lyrics become available, the site will be updated, and the overall look and general air of undeniable coolness will exponentially increase. Just watch this space.
